Help wiring aftermarket mirror

Wiring power mirrors that have a puddle light, turn signal, running light, and heated. The factory harness controls the mirror and the heated part. I bench tested the mirror and everything worked. But now with the mirror installed, the power mirror part works but the puddle light, blinker and running light doesn't work, unless I unhook the factory harness for the mirror and heater and hook up a ground straight to a different ground on the body or my test battery.

Should I run another ground off the factory harness to the body?
