Just got a nice 91 power ram with I was told a 318
The oil dipstick tube is broke and every search I’ve done comes up with a super short version
The original dipstick is like 32-34” long!!!

He meant to say to check with Benny at @AllMoparParts.com
It’s more effective to tag him.

YOu realize, I suppose, that the dipstick “tube” will not be as long as the Dipstick itself…?

You also posted you were “told” it is a 318…. beware that other engines are possible. (I think the 360 perhaps…?) The engine “block” or serial number may be necessary to avoid getting an incorrect part.

I gave up
Looking at online salvage yards now
There’s no way a 21” dipstick would work on this motor

If you get a matching set ,install it .
You may need a step ladder to reach it but it will still do the job .
Do a fresh change so you can mark /verify the full level.
A car set will do the job , they are longer on the truck for convenience.

The dipstick part number is 53005638 but this has been long discontinued. This should be stamped on the dipstick when searching for a used one.

I had to replace on on a 1980's Oldsmobile. GM decided that a dipstick tube did not need paint and it rusted through-in hot, dry, south Texas. Getting the old one out was "challenging". That vehicle has kept me from buying a GM vehicle for 35 years. Their cost engineers had squeezed every last nickel out of it and created a piece of crap.
