Help with Grille

Okay so I am wondering if I should leave my grille as is or color match it white or maybe black? And how exactly do you color match it? Do I need to take it too a shop or what?

Mine was color matched at a shop and painted there. That's the easiest way to do it.

How much did that cost you? And where did you get them done?

It was $100 and Alternative Konceptz here in Tampa, FL did it.

Any painter should be able to handle this, and it would likely be no more than $100-$150.

Ensure that the chrome finish is prepped correctly so that your paint doesn't peel/flake quickly.

Just throwing this out there. i have an extra black set of OEM inserts for sale on here for cheap if you want to do some trial and error or just have an extra set.Bought a new OEM grille this past january and a couple months ago i installed chrome inserts. No damage, scratches, crackes, or even bugs lol.

Over on Old Hopewell Rd, about a mile and a half north of the U.S. 301 and the Adamo intersection...owner's name is Tim Urban.

Sounds familiar. I used to deal with a guy in there for tint. Cant remember his name but the shop was caled ally cat customs. But that was years ago.

Smoked did you get just the inserts done or the bumper too? I'm looking to get my inserts done because my bumper is already black but I don't have much space to break everything down and plastidip it. I might just bite the bullet and have it painted professionally.

Only thing I had colormatched was my grille shell, it was chrome. I just got a quote from hom on repainting my top bumper thing there (the plastic part that already painted) and he only wants $70 do do it. So that should go to him as soon as I can get the time to take it off and get it down there.

Ya I'll have to pop in there to get a quote, that's the last chrome on my truck other than the headlights and tips. Nightrunner headlights will be next

Yeah, he'll do the plastic chrome pieces no problem. We have asked him about bumpers and he asks to get new paintable pieces...just an FYI if y'all ask him about painting chrome bumpers.
