Depends what you're looking to do? Yes they can be dyno tuned, or you can buy a Diablo or Superchips and run a canned tune, or you can have a custom tune written on those platforms..

Ahh another 03....
The 03 does not have the same options as the newer models and cannot be tuned in most cases to the same degree. Depending on the degree you want to modify your 03 depends on what course of action to take. There is no trans tuning. Tell us what you want to do and hopefully we can give some advice how to achieve your goals.

This is just my opinion, but I think you can install a 05 PCM for $1500. But I don't think you could get a shop to do the complete install for anywhere near that. Plus there have been more then one shop attempt it and ended up failing. The upside is you can install the bits and pieces you mention but need to select your parts carefully. My 03 is currently running the mods you mentioned with only a SC3865 and "high Idle" mod.

So not a straightforward swap, there may be a few running around but only one successful one that I personally know of. Can it be done for that price? Easily, I have an 05 PCM and harness waiting in my garage. Is it easy? No, nor are there any guarantees it'll run right afterward. Question to ask the shop is whether they've successfully done the swap before. It's more than just the PCM (TOTAL swap includes pedal, TB, PCM, engine and trans harness, more O2 sensors, etc).

and whats ur 1/4 time?

If you are asking about Redtruck. PB is 13.7. It was using a PCS1 and SC for tuning. Great drivability and no codes.

Started out with Mcgaughy two inch drop spindles and flip kit. 4.5 is pretty much max without a notch. Trimmed the front springs to get the fender gap where I wanted it. Then notched and re-installed the OEM shackles which has my fender lips at 30-1/2". IMO it's all about the fender gap, I have 28" tires so everything has to be adjust for the short tires. I also use 4:10 gear which is effectively in the 4:56 range. IMO if you can find some light 18" rims you like you'll have a better selection of performance tires. I recommend 4:56 gear, 2800-3000 stall converter and a 30" performance tire. With a good cam and headers you'll easily be into the 13's.
