What kind of mpg's are you pulling in? Just out of curiosity.

I have a 2016 2WD 3.6L Crew Cab and no joke I'm averaging 22 MPG. I think that's pretty dang good for a truck that big.
I LOVE the Truck and the V6 has Awesome power for what I need day to day.

Most of the time I average 21.5 to 22 on a tank of gas. That's driving 15 miles each way to and from work, lots of cold starts.

I look at it this way. In the 80s and 90s most v8 engines did not even come close to 305hp in a regular truck. Yet they managed to pull trailers and haul equipment with no problem.

Don't get me wrong I love my Hemi but my wife's '16 Grand Cherokee with the 3.6 V6 is a blast to drive. I average 17-21 mpg with my Hemi combined city/country/highway roads. In town doing errands I end up in the mid to low 16s and all highway seems to keep going 20+ driving conservatively.

Typically you do not save much with a base V6 engine because of power to weight ratios but I think with a modern V6 like the pentastar you will be fine.

Just the other day I saw a local dealership with a V6 Crew Cab 4x4 Larami Long Horn.

I couldn't believe such a specked out truck would have a V6 but I'm sure someone looking to go to the nearest Christmas tree parking lot needs an all show no go truck to bring their tree home with.

not a bunny hill, but not the alps either. a good mile and a half, much steeper than the hwys in the blue ridge mountains, of va, just not as long.

I live in Blacksburg Va, i test drove a V6 prior to buying my V8, I woudlnt buy the v6, it struggled up some of the hills and kept hunting gears as well. Going down the hill was about equal due to it ablity to downshift to slow its self down while in cruse.
