Title pretty much says it all - Truck is a 2014 gas 6.4 Hemi. I'm wondering if I could expect to see any performance or other gains with a new cat-back system. The different sound thing doesn't move the needle much for me but whatever.... I wouldn't hate it. From the outside I don't see any rust or other problems but thinking after 12+ years at 150K miles some new equipment might me a good idea?

seems fishy

In short no real hp gain ,2 or 3 hp.Most companies fudge when they advertise.I have MBRP pro cat backs, and I bought them because I like the sound .Perhaps help with alittle freer flow abit. They are also Stainless t304 and warranteed for life(as long as they stay in bussiness).
That said I live in Canada so I didn't pay extra duty,or exchange, free delivery to my door, as it is a more local company.
YOU have plenty of other choices that others will recommend, like Borla....etc.

If your cats are showing signs of being plugged, you could try cleaning them,or replacing them, but anything behind them probably doesn't need replacing.

Thanks everyone..... anything else I should be taking a loot at with 150K miles. Engine was replaced under warranty at 125K but I'm pretty sure they grabbed everything possible off my original engine. I'm ready for things like starter, alternator to go. How about injectors?

Easy to check and clean your injectors at home. There's a video in the first post showing how

Also check your intake manifold bolts, they have a habit of losing torque.

You can also clean up and rejuvenate your coils to.

Wild gives good advice. Outside of that just fix what actually breaks. I have had lots of vehicles run 250 K miles and stil haave almost all original parts on them. Odd fuel pump, one water pump, two starters, 2 intake gaskets, and one power steering pump is all I can recall over many, many vehicles and a few million miles. Lots of brakes, a few front end parts and other wear items and consumables but no upside to preemptively changing out parts.

You really are not going to gain anything with a cat back exhaust. If the factory exhaust is not rusted and falling apart the only reason for a cat back is for the sound. The exhaust that is part of the "cat back" system doesn't wear out or anything. The only real issue is if it rusts out or starts falling apart. The catalytic converters are really the only thing that could cause issues if they got plugged up. But most modern converters (i.e. built in the last 30 years....) are designed so if they fail or "wear out" they do not restrict the exhaust. Rather they just start losing the ability to reduce emissions.

I agree with most of your post, except the part about the cats not plugging, they still plug and reduce exhaust flow,as the honetcomb will eventually plug
