2026 Bighorn with the SO Hurricane. 2nd time at dealership for check engine light. First time was end of November for a evap code. Dealer said CPU needed 6 updates, updated cleared code, all was fine. Fast forward to today…..CEL came back 2 weeks ago for about a week, went off for 3 days, then back on. Today dealership scanned it, now I need a new EGR valve. Of course they have to order it, then call me, then I drop off truck for who knows how many days it will take.

Brand new truck purchased October 18th. No payments for 90 days and I’ve had it in twice. ‍

Runs fine. No drop in power, no drop in mpg. But damn what a kick in the jewels to have a brand new truck and already in service 2, soon to be 3 times.

Has this been fixed? Has the problem returned?

My new Rebel is currently at the dealership with the same EGR code.

My last time in the service dept was May 18th. They performed another “update” and the CEL hasn’t been back on since. The truck has ran fine since I bought it, zero red flags other than the pesky light aggravating the **** out of me when it was on.

That EGR has been on a national backorder, at least they are addressing this issue.
lol.. the service writer just told me the other day "parts are in, they're working on it"

I have an inside man at the dealership that works in the parts department... Told me the exhaust side of the engine is torn apart and they are waiting on parts.

Its a Dodge product, Nothing they have ever made has been quality. :roflsquared: Took me 12y of modification to get my Ram to actually work properly. :insane: :peace: :birgits_tiredcoffee
My 2019 Warlock Hemi was a solid truck.. except for the water leak... Lifter rattle (kinda my fault, the truck would sit for 2 weeks sometimes before I drove it) when it was warmed up rattle would go away.

When you had your EGR problems was your MPG terrible? Before my CEL came on I also had horrendous instant MPG. I could tell it was misfiring bad. At a cruise control set speed of 75, the MPG would fluctuate rapidly from 8 to 18, and all numbers in between. The computer didn't know what to do to correct the problem. I wish I could of pulled a data log to see what was being done to the timing when the CEL was on. I bet the fuel trim was a mess...

Pretty sure mine is going to end up as a buyback..

I’m averaging 14.5 to 14.8 after the level kit and the tires. 295/60/20 Hercules TT1’s. They’re heavy ******** anyway……72 lbs each. My engine never ran bad, no misfires, no sluggishness, no sputtering, zero issues other than the light being on.

Seems as though there are a ton of electronic problems with the newer Rams, and when you need parts, be prepared to wait and wait and wait. They seem to be doing their best at running off previous loyal customers.

My misfires are more concerning than the EGR code. I don't think the EGR has a lot to do with misfires, it's not vacuum.

Dealership says it will be done today
