While I know you're asking about non halogen bulbs, but I was in the same boat you are about 3 months ago. I looked at the LED options and didn't want to spend the money to upgrade highs/lows/fogs to leds. So I figured I would try the halogen upgraded conversion, and for about $60 worth of bulbs I'm glad I did. The 9005 high goes to a 9011, the H11 low goes to a H9, and the 9006 fog goes to a 9012. Each bulb needs minor trimming of the mounting tabs to fit the stock openings, but other than that it's a direct replacement. While they're not led or hid by any stretch, the light output is far better than stock and for 1/5th the price. So you'll have $250ish leftover to spend on something else.
Also the bulbs are just standard halogen, not some fancy super duper ultra high flux capacitor bulb that burns out 3x faster. This isn't exactly the answer you were looking for, but thought I'd share my experience. Just a little food for thought is all.
