Has anyone tried installing anything above a 160 amp alternator on the 3rd gen 5.7? Specifically a 2007 5.7. I want to know if that worked out with the computer in these trucks? If I understand it correctly the PCM controls the voltage output of the alternator. Would the PCM limit the amperage output of the HO alternator?
