High pitch, but not loud whine

2019 Crew Cab. Truck appears fine, but when I came home and shut it off, the wife said she heard a whine. I thought it was something on the other properties (we live in the country). Finally we isolated it to the engine compartment. Wondering if it was the pressure cap from radiator? Didn't last long and it stopped. Any ideas?

no cant with the info you gave could be a belt ,alt, steering pump. Try and start the truck in your driveway on level ground and open hood then have somebody shut it off and stand in front to maybe get a better location of the problem. Also if you have remote start on your Ram, it will not start if the hood is open it,s a safety thing so you don't have your hands in the engine someplace and let,s say someone presses the remote start.
