... and the truck feels like it woke up. Strange. Butt dyno feels like the truck is more responsive, better acceleration, less lugging and better shifts.

Is this normal? Seriously, it's like a switch was flipped and the truck woke up from a coma.

Computer learned your driving habbits.

Yup. Felt it my 2010 and with the 2013. Tranny shifts smother. Engine responds better.

I noticed this in my 2013 as well. I'm only at about 2500 miles, maybe a little higher, and just over the past week it seems as that the throttle is more responsive and shifting smoother. The MPG has also steadily increased since I purchased it about 2 months ago. Initially it was an embarrassing 11.9MPG when I got it but now, I am averaging about 15.5MPG and a recent small trip when I was easy on it, I got it up to 17.7MPG. I am taking a trip this weekend and I am interested to see the kind of mileage it will get.

They must program this in to the 1500s. My 2500 feels the exact same it always has, just about to break 3k. Mileage still sucks too.

I could see that as a possible reason but it may just be that you haven't hit it yet because I don't know why they would go through the hassle of making them all different unless they only made the 1500 different from the 2500/3500 since those two models are often separated in the owners manual from the regular 1500.

My previous post was 100% sarcasm. Sorry!

I recall my '11 really seemed to wake up around 3-5k compared to my initial impression. I'll be quite happy if I pick up an MPG or two with my new beast.

No worries, bud.

Mine only took about 2 months to really notice a difference. There may be more to come? I dunno. I guess only time will tell.

Haha, nice. I think mine picked it up in a hurry since 8-5 every M-F is the same routine. Looking to see how the MPG differs this coming weekend on about a 6 hour road trip. Hopefully it increases quite a bit.

Yeah, I do the same; but i also like to hear the thing roar so i do it every once in awhile. I know right now i'm avg. 12.6 but when i went on a 3:30 hr road trip i think i avg. around 16-18 so i was happy about that.

My truck drives like **** every time I forget to press tow/haul mode. Same problem I have had from day one, my transmission never is in the right gear driving around town, in tow/haul it drives perfect. As far as MPG, if I cared I woulda bought a Prius, so screw it.
