I may be buying some Power Wagon rims for my Tradesman. The owner wrapped them in 315 70 17 AT3 XLT. or 34.4" x 12.4 BRAND NEW . I would have rather had a like a BFG or Dura or Ridges, but for 1200, not bad. Has anyone run AT3 XLTs? Are they good.

I can’t speak to the AT3 XLT but I have a set of Cooper Discoverer ATPs and they’re awesome. Looking at the XLT, it appears to be a bit of an upgrade from the ATP/AT3 in the fact it’s a heavier load tire and made in larger sizes.

IMHO, I’d go for it with no worry.

18k on mine and I still like ‘em but I haven’t been able to play with them off-road yet :(

PW wheels and a brand new set of 35’s for $1,200........WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! That’s a helluva deal IMHO!

I run that exact size and tire on my 1500 and have had no issues with them. I love the look and the ride of them. They have a nice aggressive look to them while still practical with daily driving.

I just installed a new set on my 2018 2500. Average road noise, nothing loud, and they do pick up small rocks. I run the highways mostly and they are doing well.

Ran them on my last mining rig, did excellent on blasted crushed sharp rock. Outlasted ko2 and kept up with m-55 toyo. Very good traction, no issues with mud or snow. They are very mild looking and drove great!

I would buy them for my personal truck, worth the money!

I recently put the Cooper AT3 XLT on my 16 2500 to use as a summer tire in 285/65R20 and they are doing ok. Took a substantial amount of weight to balance them and I had to have them rebalanced already due to vibrations.

This truck has had 35" Toyo Open Country AT2 and my winter tires are 37" Falcon Wildpeak AT3W. So far I'd rate all three with Toyo as best then Falcon then Cooper. I say that because the Toyo rode smooth as silk with barely any balancing weights and for a 37" tire, the Falcon rides amazing. If the Falcon lasts as long as the Toyo (45k miles) then I will say the Falcon is my favorite.

We'll see how the Cooper does as they get more miles on them but I'm not happy with how much weight it took to balance them and they still have a bit of vibration. In their defense, they are the most quiet of the 3 and they handled my truck camper with no issue and maneuvering trailers on wet grass and mud has been no issue with them either.

I just bought a second set of matching wheels and a new set of Cooper AT3 XLTs for my warm season tires. I have STT Pros mounted for Winter and off road. I'm really loving the AT3 XLTs! Incredibly quiet and very smooth. About all I've driven them on is wet roads and they do handle wet roads very well.
