How do you like you DS Trinity in 2011?

Im looking at getting one just wondering what your real world results have been? performance wise and gas milage wise?
what tune you running and basicly is it worth the $600?

The tuner did have a few glitches when first released, but guys are starting to see some great gains with it. 1 of our members, TylerB, dropped almost .4 I believe off his 1/4 mile after installing his trinity.

There's still some glitches to be figured out. Like, I have my WOT shifts set at 6k, but I can only squeel out 5800 out of the 1-2. If I set my 1-2 at anything over 6100-6200 it still will only maybe get to 5900 before then the 2-3 shift will bounce off the rev limiter then shift at 6200 no matter what I have the 2-3 set for. I've let Diablo know about this.

I didn't drop 4 tenths just with the tuner alone. Gears, shorter tires and fixing traction issues all played a big role.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought you had the gears on your baseline runs before the tuner.

Diablo seems to be working quickly to get everything sorted out, so hopefully they put out some new updates soon.

so what your saying is its not worth the 600 yet as far as the performance side?
how about in mileage, any real increases there? thats going to be my selling point on it for the ole lady lol.

sell it as you have the ability to see exactly what your truck is doing, so you may catch premature issues, and a scan tool to see what is wrong if CEL comes on. worth a try LOL

i like mine, i had problems with diablos canned tunes and shift points. they are aware of the problem and supposed to have a new update that fixes it. I just went to hemifever and got a custom tune. i love the way the truck has responded. feels so much quicker on its feet. last trip i drove on with this tune i got 16 mpg. of course i was trying to get good mileage. when not on a trip my foots too deep in it for me to care.

I've had two on the dyno and both had 40 and 50 hp gains. I still speculate the gains but both I had dyno'd showed these crazy numbers. It's more than the 2010 for sure. I only got 25 hp on the 2010 models.

MikeL from Diablo said that they may be finished with the 12's this week. Direct quote below. They asked for a 12 to test on and said they should have it on the dyno tomorrow.
