Hey all,

Looking to upgrade the shocks on my 2014 2WD and came across the Fox 2.0’s and wondering how you all like them? I’d be running them with a 2” level. Did they change your ride height at all?

Thanks!

I have Fox 2.0 rear resevoir shocks on my truck. They ride like driving in a dump truck. Too stiff. Plus they use cheap chrome plating on their shock shafts that rusts after one salty winter. Go with icon thats who i will be using.

I can’t comment on the fronts since my truck is a 4x4 with the 2.0 FOX. But I do have them on the back of my truck. I noticed a improvement when towing, with a payload, and everyday driving.

Also I’ve had mine for about 2 years. No signs of rust anywhere, still look new to me!

I wonder why yours ride like that? Did you buy them new or used? I have the non-reservoir 2.0 shocks on the back of mine and they are great. Nobody has ever discribed the ride in my Ram as stiff, rough, nothing other than nice and smooth. I weigh 170lbs and I just stood in the bed of it last Sunday and made it bounce up and down very easily.
Have you posted a pic of your shocks installed somewhere on the forum i could look at?

I do not have any pics and my friend has my truck. I have fox 2.0 resevoir shocks in the rear. I purchased a new set for my 4 door wrangler, and they were just as bad of a ride as my ram.

I love mine. They are a stiffer ride but not bad at all. The main thing I like about them is that on a dirt road or hitting alot of bumps it drastically reduces washing out of the rear end. Had mine since 2016 when my BDS lift was installed. From Michigan alot of salt , no rust so far. Anyone that have gotten in my truck compliments the ride quality.

They're nice shocks, i had the Fox 2.0's in the back of my Jeep replacing 5100's, a lot better than 5100's in the dirt because the Fox are valved with dirt in mind, it'll be the same deal in the trucks, get the performance series, not the adventures ones, not that much expensive, and the performance series have better seals inside, can be revalved, rebuilt and have aluminum body.

Check MaxTrac or CST for your performance options, they might have a kit that will suite your needs.

OME replaced the front 5100's, again, another shock valved with offroad in mind
