How loud?

Ok so I've switched my thoughts for my exhaust..... I'm now doin 2.5" from the cats to the 2.5" Y then 3" straight pipe to the muffler, then another Y off of that to 3"duals exiting out the back. (any suggestion will be appreciated.)

But here's the question. I have a flowmaster super 44 on the truck right now, but IM thinking about putting a single chamber flowmaster 10 on instead of the 44.

How loud will this setup be? Is the single chamber the same as a straight pipe?

I would cut the dual tips down to 2.5" piping. And it'll be loud. If that's a representation. Lol.

I don't want to drop that much into the exhaust. It's gonna be right at $200 for the shop to just do the piping from the cats to the front Y,and the 3" piping off the second Y out the back. IM supplying everything else. I want loud but not straight pipe loud lol.

The single chamber will be loud but if you have the cats on it shouldnt be that bad. My setup before the headers were stock mans into mag y into a full boar single chamber race muffler dumped before the axel and wasnt bad. Now its long tubes no cats 3 inch all the way back to the single chamber and its not something to start at 1 am in a neighborhood.

Why not buy a SI/DO muffler and not mess with the Y after the muffler?

IM not Goin to run tips right now, they cost too much.I'm getting the shop to run the pipe as close to the body add possible and having it come out to the bumper and angle down at the ground.

Thanks for the input. I called the exhaust shop yesterday. He said he would make it an even $100 for all the piping, and he's gonna throw in free cherry bomb tips any way I want them coming out!!! He said I would have to help. I'm not too familiar with a welder..... But I sure can learn quick though!!! I'll be there right after work on Monday morning at 8:00 am.... Can't wait!!

I doubt he'll make you weld. You'll probably do things like cut, get tools, and put it up. Lol. But if he does that'd be a cool experience.

I don't mind wat I do lol as long as I get the price down hahahha I've known the guy since 2008, he did both exhaust jobs on my old ford, 3 of my friends, and my dads.... Always gave me good prices.
