Hello all, I got a 2017 cluster for my 2013... seems like that might have been a slight mistake. Everything works fine but the TPMS obviously and the P flashes in the bottom. Trying to decide if I should sell on ebay and look for a 2013. Man what a difference though on usability. Anyone know how to make that flashing P go away? I can deal with the TPMS

I would sell it and look for a 13. I use a 2013 cluster in my 2014 and had the same issue you describe (flashing P) when I tried a 2019 cluster but TPMS worked. I believe their was a transition on the TPMS for 2014 on.

The flashing P is because the cluster is from an 8 speed and the truck is a 6 speed. Might also do it in the opposite configuration. Different issue from the TPMS mis-match.

Looking to upgrade my 2018 3500 tradesman cluster. Is there any difference from 2016-2018 clusters? The ones from 2016 are way cheaper on carpart so I’ll go with 2016 if there’s no reason to get a newer one.

I think you'll be good but they are fairly easy to sell if its not right.

So I installed a 13 cluster, and now I have a new problem. The voltage, Fuel Filter, and TPMS are all blank. THe TPMS I'm not completely worried about because it worked initially but also didn't work on the old cluster, I believe the wheel units are the culprit there. However, the fuel filter being blank and voltage is concerning.

Vin was learned to the cluster, mileage and hours corrected.

To be clear, my truck is a 2500 and I was installing a 1500 cluster without the DEF gauge. I was under the impression that this shouldn't be an issue since the cluster's inner workings are the same. Am I off base here?

I'm not sure about diesel to Gas compatibility but I've seen the compass heading blank similarly due to incompatibility when a particular radio was installed (for some reason). All this to say it may not be caused by what you'd expect.

Just picked one of these up for $335 with almost identical miles to my truck. Looking forward to installing!

…can you test before putting into the truck? This is box I received…. Gauges appear to be in good shape but I don’t want to tear apart the dash if it’s already *****. EA1A276D-6A70-4EDC-9709-85B49EF43749.jpeg

I've recently started grabbing these when I can to resell on ebay. If someone looking for something specific let me know I'll see what I can find for you.

I want to add my 2014 had a Rebel cluster from a 2017 and I had the flashing P when in park from day one. It never stopped. I recently did an 8 speed swap in my truck and I noticed recently that it doesn't do it any longer. Not saying the two are related as I also just recently finished the keyless entry and push to start ignition. I'm not sure which one fixed it but it hasn't done the flashing for the past few weeks that i've noticed.
