Requested an update from allmoparparts on why there has been no status change. They were out of stock on 56046958AA and are expecting them to be in tomorrow 2/7.
Seem I had the same issue, status changed to ship yesterday. Parts should be here tomorrow! Then to wait for it to warm up enough to do the job.

Still showing processing for mine. I'm assuming not enough was ordered and they couldn't handle the load? My handles are curing now and I'm chomping at the bit to get them installed. Lol

Edit: Being packaged up to ship today.

I was able to source the pins for the pass-through connector on the door. I haven't found a source for the actual connector on the passenger side however, still looking. I want to make this a "stock" looking as possible.

If anything you'll be able to help family and friends later fixing up their dodge [emoji1303]

For those connectors (not the pins) there are Mopar repair kits for about 27 each.

What did you get 50 of? The pins?

As much as I would love the install to be 100% factory, not sure how much extra I want to spend for that to happen. Did not realize one of the doors is missing a connector altogether, I thought they just needed to be pinned where they werent already.

Yeah, that’s why I said screw it and went with eliminating them. Not many places seem to want to sell the Yazaki stuff in small quantities, so I had to do it in a way that would be feasible for the average person without driving the cost up.
@kp4243, if you went through with buying that quantity of connectors and terminals, PM me and I’ll buy a set from you to help you alleviate some of the burden.

Im still going to look into mounting the antenna on the post cover. I know there is padding behind it, but I dont think its an airbag and my guess is its only fastened to the panel on the outer edges of the padding. I bet we could still put the antenna between the padding and the panel itself. I know we still have to fish wires for the handles, but if the antenna can somehow fit inside the cab, you can setup everything except the handles at one time.

I started crimping my terminals last night. Blew through a few of the larger ones (for C2) before realizing I was trying to use those in the smaller antenna connectors (stupid!). Once I used the right terminals for the right connectors it went a bit easier ;)

Has anyone tried using the stock mounting position for the front antenna but by sending the wire from the RF hub, down the rear wall, under the seat and down the center of the floor to under the console?

My front seats need to come out soon anyway so I figured I would take the carpet out and run the antenna wire that way but Im not sure how much shorter that would be (Im guessing a lot)....I figured 100" would be a safe bet but its probably still way too long.

For anyone who wants to try the B Pillar location: the proximity antennas WILL fit, but you have to trim off the mounting tabs.

I just put them in my vise and used a mini-hacksaw to cut off the tabs- I was going to use 3M tape in the door panel anyway, so if they didn't fit, there'd be no problem.

20190210_183558.jpg

So I placed it in the driver's side B-Pillar "channel"...and it fits just fine- the channel is deep enough that there doesn't seem to be any interference when the trim panel is reinstalled.

One bonus: much shorter wiring is needed to run to this point. Alas, I did NOT measure this out, but you could safely go with half of Jimmy07's length cited in the opening couple of posts- and you can also pin the antenna connector in your house, not in the vehicle. BTW: trying to get a pic while holding the seatbelt out of the way when one hand is bleeding (cut my finger) is a PITA! So no "depth" view...at least not of the driver side antenna!

20190210_194824.jpg

EDIT: I got the pin remnant out of the connector and did the Passenger side antenna (same as the driver). I took a pic of what it looks like when stuck on there; essentially it's a pic of the b-pillar from the inside of the back door looking forward (on the passenger side of the truck. As I said, even with the connector in place, there's not a lot of projection into the void behind the cover. Now all four antennas show as "Present" when I scan the RF Hub System Status.

Oh: and though I earlier posted the factory location for the front antenna (mounted to the ORC module's bracket), if you want to install it there, you'll have to fully remove the center console to get at the ORC. That bracket can't be reached by only pulling out the center bin/cupholders, and I'm not sure where the console is connected up front, but it wasn't moving for me. There are a couple holes in the console base so you can SEE the bracket, but unless you have 3" wide hands, the largest of the holes is still far too small to reach in. So I used more 3M tape and mounted it to the vent pipe that feeds the rear vents on my console. And everywhere I used 3M tape, I also used 3M Adhesion Promoter (B-Pillar, back wall for the Rear antenna, vent tube and the back sides of each antenna).

That's good info!

My center seat needs to come out anyway to install katzkin cover so I will run the front antenna at that point.

Considering the antennae are so inexpensive, I don't have a problem trimming tabs to mount them inside the cab instead of the doors. Hopefully range is not affected (I don't think it will be) because that saves a lot of work.

Do you have a part number for the kit?
I asked the other day at dealership and they were not allowed to order them. If nobody else has the number I might be able to get it.
