Just picked up a set of complete replacement door panels out that came out of 2014 Big Horn to put in my tradesman. apparently sat in a barn for a year or so.. quite a layer of dust and other stains from being in the barn storage. what's the recommendation on scrubbing these down so I don't hurt anything?

I would hose them off, let them dry, then use 303 aerospace protectant to make them shine and recondition the plastic and vinyl. It's what I use on those same trim panels.

A handheld steam cleaner from amazon could also be benficial in removing that grime without damaging the finish

I actually tried to use an handheld steam cleaner. even with fine tip it didn't attack all the grime like I thought it would. I ended up going with Dawn Powerwash. used about 1/3 of a bottle on each panel. Sprayed top to bottom, let sit for about 10min, scrubbed with soft sponge, rinsed, scrubbed some more. Used a toothbrush on the corners, seams, and the speaker mesh.

I only had 3 hours to work with with the after noon sun and wanted to get them done today as it will start to rain again tomorrow.

I might double check them again when weather gets nicer again.

I wouldn't use a steam cleaner on anything that's held together with adhesive (like cloth/leatherette/vinyl/carpet over a panel) or any nonwoven textile

yeah.. that is normally true as hot steam would dissolve any adhesive.
