How to buff headlight after sealing?

So I just sanded down and did a restoration on one of my headlights. When I was done I sprayed some of the uv sealant on. How do I buff that to be smooth without messing it up? It looks ok, but isnt smooth to the touch. Or is that just the way it is?

super fine grit wet sand maybe like 2000 or 3000
