Is there any easy way to make my fog lights to stay on with my high beams. I have the dual headlights the high beams suck even with a led swap

Other than a dedicated switch, the logic doesn’t allow it 2013+. Asked Paul @ DD about them being on without the running light using a relay, negative.

You can use alphaodb to make that happen.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

I believe retroshop.us makes a relay harness that allows it.

Alfaobd allows you to make the change in the bcm to allow fogs to stay on.

Alfaobd $50 Google play store or download through alphaobd.com for windows

If you don't ever plan on changing tire size or more advanced changes a cheap elm327 bluetooth obd2 code reader will work

According to an email I sent to retroshop.us, they don’t make anything like that.

OK. I thought at one point they did. I know that there is a way. People had done it prior to alfaobd. I'm sure there is a thread on it

I’d sure like to find it. That Alfaobd thing sounds neat and all but I don’t think there’s a whole lot I need to do with it to justify spending all that money on it, plus having to buy a cheap android tablet just to use it.

If I remember correctly it was. Jumper wiring in the fuse box.

Edit: disregard

Yeah, it does make it easy but for some of us, that’s quite an expensive route to go just to enable one thing. Nearly 50 bucks for the app, nearly 50 bucks for the plug-in and for those of us that don’t have anything android, that’s at least another 50 bucks for the cheapest android tablet just to run all that stuff. Oh and not to mention for those of us that have a 2018 or later model pickup, its another 40, 50 bucks just to get the security bypass to make all this stuff work.

I hear ya and trust me I felt the same way too. I bought a Samsung tablet just for this and I'll be honest with ya, I use that thing more than I do my laptop, its so convenient it was one of those..."why didnt I buy one of these before" kinda purchases. I have activated DRL features, fog light dropout disable, set things to LED...numerous things. It also reads codes and can clear them on many cars. I used it on my sons 2016 Mustang and on my wifes 2014 Charger R/T...she said I looked like a service tech outside with my 10" tablet.

Not out here where I live. Lol. Maybe find the tablet or android phone but that’s a negative on the other stuff.

Well, that’s just it-lol. With me having a Limited trim, there’s not a whole lot on mine I need changing...lol. I already had my front LED strips activated for DRL by the dealer several months after getting the truck. And, because of my pedal commander throwing codes all the time seem like every time I made a change to it, I ended up buying a Bosch code reader to carry so I could reset the CEL...lol. So I got that end covered, too.

Just want to point out it is technically not legal (in most or all states not sure) to have the fogs on with the high beams (law reads something like only 4 front facing lights) that is the reason for the dropout. Not saying that stopped me from doing it or should stop you. Just be aware incase this could be an issue at say inspection if they check such function.

You could easily enough wire it up as stated above but you may want to think about investing in AlphaOBD you can also do it through the computer instead of android. It's great if you decide to adjust anything else down the road (thinking of going bigger tires, you can adjust the mph, add additional features that you don't currently have) and also nice to plug it in when a code gets thrown.
