Once you turn off the chiming, it's off. I think it does turns the chiming back on if you do it again, don't know why you would want to. You will still get the visual warning on the dash to buckle up.

Quickest and easiest way to turn the chime off that I have found. Is to use a set of seat belt extenders.

Turns off both front seats.

Thanks to learning this mod, there are now about a half dozen or so Ram rentals scattered between Alaska, Washington, California, Virginia, that all have the chime disabled.
