I'm trying like hell to get a custom tune from flyin Ryan. But getting those guys to communicate is proving really tough.

Hughes engines offers custom tuning on SCT.

Should I just go with them?

Anyone know why Ryan is so hard to get to return emails?

I emailed them. Still have not heard back.
But I have time.

Ryan is a commercial pilot, so he doesn't have a lot of time to respond to emails with flying and writing tunes

Sorry, not sure what email address you are emailing to but I get enough emails that occasionally I don't answer. Try me via text at 732 539 9614, that is my personal cell phone.

Been a week now. Maybe the wrong place, but Ryan's Performance.
Thanks for the number. I'll shoot a text.

5.2l swapped into my jeep.
I will add a plus for Ryan. I joined this forum to track him down and if you guys will allow me to, I'll throw in my story.

I got my PCM tuned by BGchrysler / Arlington performance a few years ago. They did not do a good job removing the auto trans logic. I still get weird lopping near idle while in gear at low speeds or when coasting the last 40ft to a stoplight. The engine just about stalls and recovers over and over until I come to a complete stop. They were not helpful at all when I tried to question why this could be. I eventually spoke to the tuner and was told "I didn't touch the transmission" I felt pretty screwed. A Chrysler factory five speed PCM runs perfectly, but I have a stock fuel map and stock performance to show for the whole thing.

The point of that story is after digging even deeper, I called Ryan, I was skeptical after my experience with Arlington or whoever the heck they are now.

He talked with me for about an hour, emailed a bunch of times and was in general a great source of info.

I couldn't at the time buy a tune from him because I didn't have the cash having spent $350 for disappointment and he was having issues getting the handhelds. They were rolling out the next model with a logger built in so it was a supply to him issue.

Very shortly I'm going to be trying again to tune my 5.2. I will be getting a Flyinryan tune. So long as I'm not blacklisted for wasting your time in the past.
