Hydraulic lifter problems?

I was just told by my shop that I should have the hydraulic lifters replaced with solid lifters in my 2019 5500/Cummins. He said it was due to the high incidents of failures. I carry a lot of weight in the truck body and tow 8500lb trailer. I've always been a guy who is proactive as my maintenance but even the selling dealer knew nothing of a wide spread problem. I trust this fourm. I really hope my shop isn't jerking my chain. $8000 is a ton of dough for me.
