Really the numbers are haunting me, 310 vs. 390. With the additional performance parts available in comparison... and thinking of where my Hemi would be currently if it existed. I am being forced to make some decisions on advanced mods just to get ahead... Not hating on the 4.7, but power to weight ratio it is what it is compared to the Hemi. Part of it is the automatic transmission as well, a 5 or 6 speed would set the 4.7 ahead IMO.

Detailed the inside of a 2011 Ford F150 4X4 with the 3.5l Twin turbo setup... Owner took me for a ride afterwards. My experience let me know they are very nice inside and out, but slow for stock. My Dodge accelerates quicker.

Went to pass a Dodge truck- turbo diesel kind(around 02' year model)... Surprised me as it was a 6 speed, and also bellowed out black smoke from its exhaust as it told my Dodge it was not gonna be passing---> The Dodges locked it up even for a few seconds, and as I seen the creep off start, I braked and fell back into place not pursuing to pass any longer.

Meh, don't worry about the number game. Peak #s aren't everything.

The 4.7 is a competent and capable motor. There will always be something out there with bigger better #s, or coming out next month.

Just pay it off, and enjoy not having a payment!

Someone on DT is building a 4.7 with a Ford blower. I think he just got it running too.
