I give up, Dome Lights????

I can't get my done lights to come on when I open the doors. The LEDs in the beds come on when they are supposed to. I've set the dimmer dial too all the settings. Turn the head lights to auto. I have the 2018 tradesman 2500. There aren't any other buttons that I can find to check!! The maps lights work when you push them. I did swap them to less but I can't imagine that would have anything to do with it. I'm in starting to think something is broke.

Do you have puddle lights on your mirrors. If so do they come on. Did this start up when the led switch was made.

Did you put LED's in? If so flip them 180 see if it comes on. LED's have more sensitive polarity issues.

I have this same issue. I even went back to regular bulbs and still have the issue. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yup, LED's will go in both ways, but only work one way, weird,. LOL. When I replaced my maps with LED, I made sure I checked before put console back up.

Does your overhead console have a small 3 position switch behind map lights like MY 19 does, if SO, check that switch. It is a 3 position switch: Off/ON when doors open/all lights on::: BUT I do not know if U have this or not on your vehicle, only offer what I have on MY 19...

“Party Mode” When a door is open and the interior lights are on, rotating the dimmer control all the way left, to the off detent, will cause all the interior lights to go out. This is also known as the Party mode because it allows the doors to stay open for extended periods of time without discharging the vehicle’s battery.

I had this problem in my 17 tradesman. I just changed out the led for a different one. My guess is something in the bulb circuit board was confusing the BCM and not turning them on. Ever since I swapped them my lights come on everytime.
