I guess I'm a little confused here...

I'm in the process of ordering a double din aftermarket radio to replace the plain jane RES unit in my 2010 Big Horn. I measured the opening in the bezel to be 3.75 inches high, which converts to 95.25mm. The confusing part is that 99% of all double din radios I see are 100mm high, and all the info I read in regards to the install, say that I won't have to do any trimming to the bezel, just the support bracket behind it. So I'm confused as to how a 100mm high unit fits in a 95.25mm bezel, anyone able to shed some light and un-confuse me?

I haven't measured, but I recall my original 09 Ram was consider a "din and a half" and definitely needed bezel trimming to fit a double din. My current 09 has the NAV system in it, and I believe it's also about the same size. There's also some trimming behind the bezel to make a double din fit.

Dunno about the measurements, but definitely had to trim the metal bracket in the back, but no plastic trimming needed with my Kenwood

I'm completely aware of the trimming behind the bezel which I'm ok with since it will be covered up and imperfections won't be seen...just unsure of the plastic outer bezel.

I can't speak to measurements... I can speak to personal experience that I have done a ton of them and there is no issue.
