Okay well ALMOST done with my BL....the problems are the only stuff left!

First of all, I cannot get the steering extension on. Period. The thing will not telescope back on itself. It wont budge. I had me and a few buddies all trying. I now cant get the original thing back on. About 1/4in too short. So my truck is stuck sitting in the garage waiting on that.

Now, not only does it not steer, but when I turn the wheel right the horn honks...whats up with that? I havent gotten it hooked up yet obviously but thats ******* me off

Second, the radiator in their instructions is not like mine at all. Mine is silver, theirs is black. Mine only has two holes in the bottom, theirs has 4 or 5. I had to drill holes in the bottom of the radiator for it to work.

My kit didnt have all the bolts, I dont know why, so I had to go buy some. Lame

Last but not least, the brake junction extenders do not screw into my frame. I dunno, not too big of a deal. Ill just fab up a bracket for that.

So im somewhat dissapointed in the whole job. Quite a few of the parts were different than the instructions so they didnt work or required fabbing. This steering extension thing is a ***** and the radiator mounts, shroud, etc are just as bad

I need some help if any of yall can offer it. Any ideas? Preview:

lol i had extra bolts from my radiator and oil coolers because i did them my way to save time and make the mounts stronger. I also had to cut some of the fan shroud where the little cooler hoses come from and as far as the steering extension i had no problem i hate when one or two little things hold you up. What kit did you go with?

you're not supposed to turn the steering wheel all the way because it can damage the airbag sensors- thats what my PA instructions said- i bungy corded mine so it didnt move.
i told you the extention was a *****- get a ratchet strap on it and sinch it up- it will go in. i ended up dropping my steering rack and putting the extention in, then using the ratchet strap to pull the rack up into place, then the steering shaft slid in enough to bolt the rack back up... but you should be able to get that shaft to slide up without dropping the rack..

i didnt use any of the radiator relocation **** that came with my kit- i left it right where it is.. the hoses have enough slack to reach until i get some longer ones..

i'm kinda glad to hear the "almighty" ZONE kit that everyone was raving about isnt all it was cracked up to be. lol.

good luck buddy. you'll get it

Well over on DF they are saying me turning the wheel could have damaged some spring in the steering wheel. F me. I wish some project i did went completely right at some point!

Hopefully have a mechanic buddy coming over today to figure it out. Where did you hook the ratchet to on the thing, dylan?

i dont remember... it was a real cobbled up ***** but it worked... look around, you'll find something...
you probably didnt damage anything in the steering wheel- its just not meant to turn that far- the wheels usually hit the stops before it gets that far so you'll probably never hit that point with it all connected
