Hey guys. I want to upgrade my stereo in my 2016 1500 from the ra2 to the 8.4 with NAV. After reading yalls DIY and posts about this subject, Im thinking I have grasped the subject and bought an 8.4 second hand. It should be arriving today but I think I have confused myself about what exactly I need to do the upgrade. I purchased an 8.4 with nav, p/n 68283240AK. I believe it came from a 2018 Jeep Compass but not 100% sure. I do not have rhe VIN. Unfortunately I cannot find much info about This p/n online so I want to be sure it even fits my truck before getting too deep into the swap. Will that radio fit my truck? What do I need to do and buy to put in my truck? I kept reading about needing steering wheel controls for the radio but unsure if that pertains to my situation. Can yall advise please? I have read yalls posts on upgrading....but again, I have confused myself. I iust want to be somewhat sure of what Im doing.. I would really appreciate it. thanks in advance.

That's a 2017.5 Jeep compass 8.4 Android Auto CarPlay 4c radio with Nav (UAQ)... Depending on the application version on it, it may work... It may not vs a 2018 ram UAQ or UAS radio.

Biggest issue with that radio will be getting SW updates if needed.

You will need the full 8.4 conversion with single zone ATC (program BCM via AlfaOBD), correct 18 HVAC module, ATC sensors (fan resistor for 2500/3500), 8.4 bezel (Single zone MTC, dual zone ATC, it our custom Single Zone ATC bezel), plus a 2018 UAx USB Hub Adapter harness and 18 compass it ram USB hub.

* A lot of people that are getting their UAx radio and harness setup elsewhere are finding it the need atc after the fact to get the HVAC to work correctly and paying more on the back end to get it universal add-on harnesses.
