I have a 2016 Ram 2500 (Tradesman), and am prepared to do an OEM Foglight upgrade, and the 8.4 Radio upgrade w/ Apple CarPlay.

What other mods or functions can I do w/ this fancy thing?

What crash68 said above...read the thread to see all the money you will spend (err...the cool stuff you can do lol) with AlfaOBD and the MX+.

On my Tradesman so far with AlfaOBD I:

Changed out the radio
Added headliner mics
Added compass module
Installed tow mirrors with turn signals and puddle lamps
Changed all the lights (except headlights) to LEDs
Swapped to a 7” EVIC and programmed mileage/running hours
Added remote start
Added key fobs

Similar question. I want to buy the OBDLink MX+ specifically because my winter and all-season tire sets are different sizes.

But I’m intrigued by a device I keep seeing advertised which allows you to modify the accelerator delay (which is the only thing I dislike about my vehicle). Has anybody been able to address this issue with the OBDLink MX+ and the Alfaobd or some other app?

Unfortunately no. You're probably going to want to pick up a pedal commander to resolve that issue. The OBDLink is a great piece of kit though. You only have to use it a couple times for it to pay for itself.

If your phone is Android you can use Alpha OBD, if you have an Iphone, I use JScan and it works great. There's a tonne of videos on things you can change as well as hot tips to avoid destroying your truck lol

What have you done with JScan that has actually worked? Tpms hasn't worked for me. That's the reason I tried JScan. I need to go dig up an old android phone and try alfaobd.

I lowered my TPMS from 39 to 36 psi. Disabled headlight drop-out, disabled fog light drop-out, switched headlights to HID (I have the canbus adapters but figured it wouldn't hurt)
There's lots more out there but I took Big Daddys House's advice and only change one thing at time to avoid causing problems.

Did you register your vin? It's about $30 US/vehicle and if you don't register you're basically in demo mode, I think you can only read trouble codes.

Thanks for the response. I did register the VIN. I'll look up Big Daddys House's advice and see if maybe i messed something up. I tried to lower the TPMS to 30, but i still get warnings and the lights on the dash if it goes below 33 I think.

Not to side track, can someone quickly explain registering the VIN?
