I would love to lower the rear, but the springs are soft and most kits include shortened springs with stock stiffness.
what about cutting a coil off these?

Heavy Duty Rear Coil springs at a stock ride Height + 25% greater carrying capacity

It would give a drop with 25% more capacity to eliminate sag when towing, to counter the drop. Thoughts?

I used the GF leveling kit on mine, 2" drop, perfect!

I still have my stock ones too in case you mess those up :D

My rear springs are progressive rate....soft when just driving but the rate increases with load. Technically they should carry a heavier load better than stock springs...BUT...ie never verified the stock spring rate vs the McGaughys.

I was looking at the McGaughys springs first, but find the extra 25% capacity of the tuftruck springs appealing. I am nervous about towing with a 2" rear drop due to reduced susp travel. The extra capacity (with my Airlift 1000 helping) of the tuftrucks would ease that.

Thanks Blackout, but unless its virtually free the shipping would negate any deal I bet.

So I'm the only one here who thinks 25% more spring capacity with a 2 drop is a good idea?

Nope! For me it would only be worth while if it could also add to payload cap.

I really like the leveled look and have been pondering getting shorter springs for some time. I just installed my airlift 1000 this past weekend so now that I see how easy it would be, I really want to lower it!! There is no way that I could do it if means sacrificing the ability to pull our TT.

I hear ya; pulling our TT is the ONLY reason we bought the truck. Knowing that Airlift has a shorter kit for Jeeps, and the Tufftruck springs with extra capacity would make up for the 2" loss of travel I think we'd be sitting pretty. <Haha; literally.

Where do you get these springs and will they fit my 2013? I think these would be great for towing my TT

It seems like a really good idea to me. kinda have me considering it because I have a feeling if I tow anything when I put my drop shackles on that I will be sagging bad..

TUFTRUCK Coils
To find out of they fit your application I'd really call them. I should think they would, but there have been weight changes etc from 12-13, right?
Anyway, they're affordable, apparently ride well and easy to change out.
