..but usually anybody throwing a super charger on a vehicle also upgrade the stock tires, and quite often the brake pads

You mean like:
Still can't turn, stop, or hook without further modification but it's a power beast. Nearly triple the hp of the 454SS...

I think we're all on the same page here.

Regardless you're still dealing with, what, close to 60/40 weight distribution? (Surprisingly, the Lightning EV is within a few pounds of being 50/50) and a leaf spring live axle in the rear unless wildly modified.

I've never had a "Cop truck", but they come modified *if* they are pursuit rated. Only our K9s have SUVs that are pursuit rated. EOD has SUVs but not pursuit rated. Still just making the best of a jack of all trades vehicle, though, and I'd rather be able to hop a curb than get through a tight turn a little faster. My Charger can take a turn faster than I can see around it and make decisions as it is, I don't push it to the edge of the envelope very often at all.

Actually a little lowered shortbox doesn't usually do to bad at turning and stopping.A crewcab longbox truck isn't great at either, but a lowered regular cab shortbox will give alot of cars a run for their money in the mountains.I speak from s'perience , i used to play with the local Challenger/Charger group in the mountains, and i never had any trouble keeping up or passing the majority of stock 5.7 cars with my lowered rcsb in the mountains.
The RCSB 1500 probably weighs within a few pounds of a Charger and if you've got the 3.92 rear end it makes a huge difference. The truck Hemi also makes more power than the car Hemi thanks to its different intake manifold. The cars don't have enough space under the hood, so they are stuck with a more restrictive design.

It isn't just the intake, the trucks get a different cam.

I'd guess 4/6 or maybe 5/7. The flares give a visual that it's lower than it really is.

My vote is 4/6, unless it's a real 5th gen from a foreign market, (Mexico). Then it's probably 3/5.

I've never lowered a 5th gen but hear lower than 3/5 you have more work to undertake.

I grew up in the era before FM radio took over. Living in Tennessee, we had a local (Chattanooga) AM station with 50,000 watts from 7:00 AM til 7:00 PM. After that the had to cut their wattage down, so couldn't hear it after that time. WLS out of Chicago was a super station and we could pick them up. Always had commercials about Mr. Norm specials. I dreamed of ordering a 6 pack 340 Demon in 1971, then in 1972 they offered a supercharged 340 Demon and that's what I wanted. Didn't get either. All that to say, I have often wondered if they were still doing Mr. Norm Specials. Glad to see they are.

We bought a Dakota R/T, it was 2 years old, and we were 2nd owners. The salesman told us that over 50% of those R/T trucks lasted 1 week, before they were in the wreckers, after being wrapped around poles, pulled out of ditches, rolled etc... We sold it to a guy who was a police officer, said he ran the report for accidents on ours. It was the first one he found that hadn't been in an accident, so he bought it.

The 6.4 car intake fits under the hood on a 5.7 car,and is a dual runner intake.Swapping the car 6.4 intake onto a 5.7 car is a fairly common swap, and has been done longer then the truck 6.4 intake swap onto a truck 5.7 has been done. The 5.7 car intake actually makes the most horsepower out of all the composite/plastic intake manifolds, but it doesn't shine until above 5500 rpm, under that it's down on torque compared to the dual runner intakes. The 5.7 car intake has the straightest shot at the intake ports and also has the shortest intake runners,so it really shines if you're building a big cube 411+ engine,or a higher rpm 5.7.

Probably closer to a 500lb difference. My RCSB comes in at 5,080. Not light. Traction is the biggest problem. All wheel drive would be nice.

AWD would add more weight. Wider rear tires will solve the traction issue and add less weight. Even factory the Ram is better. The 5.7 cars come with 245 width tires that break loose all too easily.

My regular cab 4X4 crosses the scales at just over 5300 lbs with the front diff in place, and just under 5200 with it and axles/driveshaft removed, the wifes 6.4 Challenger that has every available option you can get on a naturally aspirated Challenger crosses the scales at 4300 lbs,so it's closer to a 1,000lbs differance, even more if you buy a Challenger with fewer options like the sunroof/adaptive cruise etc..I forget what her old 5.7 R/T Challenger weighed but it would of been very close to what her 1320 weighed as both cars were similiarly equipped as far as options go.The wifes 1320 comes with 275 Nexen Drag Radials on all 4 corners, the wide body cars come with 305's.Stock the 5.7 Challenger was far quicker then the truck.Even with long tubes and tune on the truck,it still wasn't as fast as her old 5.7 Challenger was with just 6.4 manifolds and midpipes and no tune, and we raced them side by side alot at the track.

There's a few 4th gen RCSB's running around with the 5th gen front end conversion, and they look really good.To bad Ma Mopar never built a RCSB 5th gen,and stuffed a Hellcat 6.2 in it ,they put the 6.2 in a Durango, why not a regular cab shortbox truck. The TRX is an okay truck, but i think there's probably a bigger market for a regular cab shortbox truck then the TRX
Agreed! I'd be in line as soon as the wife told me I could. :)
