Improved ride quality on leveled truck

While trying to resolve an annoying suspension squeak I loosened the upper control arm, inner bolts. I heard a bit of a pop and I realized I just released the tension the bushings were under. I bounced the truck a few time to make sure it is settled at normal ride height and then re-tightened the bolts.

Not only did my squeaks go away but the ride quality greatly improved. The truck rides so smooth now.

I guess after adding the lift spacers the suspension was in a bit of a bind at normal "new" ride height. By loosening and the re-tightening the bolts released the bind.

Totally worth the 15 minutes it took me to do both sides.

was it installed properly? I have zero issues with my level. Installed properly there shouldnt be any noise

I installed it myself and yes it was correct. I guess I am one of the unlucky ones that have issues with a level spacer kit.

you torque it to specs?

Torque the shocks (upper and lower mounting bolts), sway bar end link bolts, upper ball joint, or the upper control arm bolts?

Everything was tightened to German torque (Good n tight) since torque specs for this truck are hard to come by.

Send me the specs and I will certainly go back and torque everything.

i don't have it aymore, but the instruction sheet that came with my hell bent steel level kit had the torque specs. Hell bent steel is a vendor on here. Post a thread in their section or shoot them a pm and they should be able to get you the info.

There is your problem. Everything needs to be torqued properly.

Might anyone have the torque spec for the upper arm inner mounting bolts ? ? ? ?

Everything is torqued to spec. Now the squeak is BACK and louder than ever.

I think my front shocks are done. Time for some Bilsteins.
