Coincidentally my problem is similar the the most previous post! I'm having nav problems but CD and radio are working fine.
I am the original owner of a 2006 Ram 3500 Cummins 5.9l. I have just begun to have problems with my in-dash navigation system (Code REC). After a short period of driving I will get a "NAV Message" warning telling me there is a "disk error". If I turn off the ignition and restart, things are OK for a few miles/minutes before I get the same error message again. Once the error message shows up the nav screen is blocked by the message window and cannot be used for navigation. Only turning off and on removes the message. I've tried removing and reinstalling the nav DVD, but this only temporarily restores the system until the next "disk error" message.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this and if so what did you do about it? Thanks. John Hixson
