Hello, had built a '18 Reg cab 6.4 with 4.10 gears and 4×4. RAM tells me is now in transit and in Texas 2 days ago so I hope I'll have it early next week. My question concerns the optional Max Lifetime care warranty. Have search much on this website and it appears I can buy it anytime prior to 3/36 warranty expiring also buying direct from MOPAR is a better deal than from dealer. Have I got my facts straight? Thanks.

Yes, I bought mine about 2 months before my 3/36 warranty was going to expire.... it costs you an extra $100 bucks but it's still overall cheaper then buying it new from the dealership. I got mine from Chrysler Warranty Direct and found them to be the cheapest quote.

I’d get a quote at Chrysler Warranty Direct and give your dealership a chance to meet or beat it. Remember, all the sales crap during the paperwork process is over the top. You don’t need paint care that has to be done yearly which you get to pay for again. I would see if they have an oil change package as I have found my dealer can do them for the same money it would cost me just to buy the oil and filter. If you are trading with negative equity they will also try to sell you gap insurance. it’s insurance so that means investing in something that may or may not happen. They like to roll these into your loan to make them look attractive but remember, you are paying interest on them.
Just random thoughts from my recent purchase and past purchases, hope it helps.

As stated above^^^^FCA is sending out emails and mail offers as we speak. They are offering $850 in discounts. Call 888 306 6545 by 8/10 "to see if you qualify" Additional $100 if you call now for the "early bird discount"
BTW you can look at our forum archives regarding this topic by using the search engine, lifetime warranty or cost. It will give you some great insight into what is a fair value price.

I had a different experience at the dealership, it was like puling teeth to get the Max Lifetime warranty. I got the feeling they did not want to offer it, they gave me 2 other options. First was a 100k and the other 125k???? Not sure what that was about. But I insisted on the maxlife and slapped down an extra $900 for it.

Thanks for the info and Semper Fi. 1stAmTracBn, 2/5, Echo 2/12, 7th Marines and a whole lots of B billets. Jan '68 - Feb 2000. Gave the Marines my youth, my innocence, and my sobriety but got that back

So the max care lifetime is still around? Last April when we picked up the 1500 I specifically asked about it and was told it had been discontinued and my only option was a 3yr 150k.... my 16 3500 has the unlimited mile max care deal

I don’t know how it’s worded or if available in Canada as I’m not real familiar with the laws n programs up there.
I would probably try googling the “lifetime max care” or search the Mopar sites for it. Don’t rule anything out just yet

That truck broke 50k on year one so I’m past the point of help but my other 17 3500 is still under the 3/36 so I’ll look into it....my truck had transmission drama that was covered so I anticipate similar trouble
