Incredible deal on new 2DIN Head Unit with Nav...

Might be too good to be true, but I just ordered this :

NEW Double 2 DIN Android Car GPS Stereo DVD Player 6.2" 3G WiFi USB HDMI+Camera

Probably a crappy radio, but it being an Android device rang a bell in my geek head as to all I could actually do. Plus it has built-in GPS and Navigation, and comes with a cheap backup camera...

But hey I don't believe I can go wrong for 30$US delivered to my door...

Thought I would share with you folks looking for a Nav enabled head unit.
For those with a Bluetooth OBDII interface, this will support your favorite app to monitor the engine and everything else.

Looking forward to be surprised, or to know if I just threw 30$ to the chinese trash !

Don't hold your breath on this one... China delivery to my place usually takes in excess of 3 weeks... I have seen 5 in one case...

Mind you the same head unit is sold by local audio dealers for over 400$... the look is absolutely the same, the internal could be different. We'll see.

The internals are VERY different lol. I was an installer for 4 years and saw a couple of those Chinese radios. For 30 dollars you're not out much, but don't expect good sound quality, good GPS, or for it to be very responsive at all. And they all die in less than a year. Absolutely every single one of em.

Not knocking your purchase, just giving you a heads up.

Really for $30 nothing to lose and you have buyer protection from eBay if it's total crap

Think of it this way : If it sounds good enough for my use and dies after a year, I can afford 1 every year for the next 10 years before I cover the price of the same unit in a good quality version...

I found a great deal like this once.
Go pro heart hero 3+ black for 180$
Me and 160 other people jumped on it.
After a few days I actually got a tracking number.
About 20 days later I opened a case with eBay. Since I had heard nothing else. Immediately got my money back from eBay
About 5 weeks later I get a package in the mail. Inside was a large medal coin with a panda stamped on it.
Checked the tracking number and find out it was my "gopro"

Moral of the story
EBay is actually a pretty safe place to take chances. Just read all of the fine print to make sure it doesn't say "this is the box the radio came in. No radio included"

that pumpkin radio looks similar to one my daughter bought used. it seems to work ok but she said the GPS isn't that great and a couple other small things but overall better than what she ad in it. she is away at college so i can't say for sure if that is the one she has

hey curiousity question, i know alot of dodges have the security system running through the radio if they have the infinity sound set up, my 04 1500 has the infinity sound and i want to swap out the whole audio package and run a sub system under the back seats. is my security system going to make this a pain in the ass for me? or is there a certain year they started running the security systems through the radio and ill be safe? as much information as some one can send me would be clutch thanks guys
