On my newer trucks, there is no way I could get a hose down the pipe, there is a screen or ? in there to stop that, same with wife's Honda.
I Have a gas standby power plant and don't have storage tanks anymore in town, so was wondering if I could pull gas from truck to feed generator. Not a chance with out installing a outlet in the tank and I don't need it that bad.
On my 2014, you can pull up miles and idle hours on the dash, don't remember on the older ones. that would give you a idea if its sitting idling too much.
Sounds like you are doing the hard stuff with out checking the easy stuff first, like intake manifold bolts, thou You may have done that?
Maybe he just drives like a idiot? that will give you those numbers.
