So i installed LED's in the front turn signals and tail lights. Along with resistors. Everything worked great, got the truck cleaned up using Fukken Wax. I took a cruise for a bit then on the way home. Took a left turn and noticed im having hyperblinking. Checked the message on the dash, turns out its the front left turn signal...

any idea what the issue is? Im gonna check it tomorrow but curious as to why it was working fine then all of a sudden its not.

Double check the connection on the resistor....I had the same issue with my led switchbacks

Well it seems to have corrected itself. I'm no longer getting that error and its signaling fine now. I'm still gonna take the headlight off and check it out though.

I put LED on all 4 corners. I notice that when I have my foot on the brake too long, one of my resistors cuts out and I show a light out. resolves itself by leting off the brake for a few seconds and then hiting the turn signals.

Well mine started acting up again. I checked it, wires weren't loose. So i removed it and reinstalled and still having the same issue. Im thinking its possibly a bad resistor, its the only 1 giving me problems.

Do you need resistors on the fronts as well, or just the taillights?

You may have a bad resistor. I have had one go bad on me in my other Ram that had switchbacks up front. They sent me a new one and problem was solved at least till I traded it in 6 months later I am not sure what happened after that.

Yeah thats what im thinking. It's just a bad resistor, because it works at times then goes out.

What type of LED bulbs are you using? Also, what is the Ohm rating of your resistors? Do you have all 4 LED turn signals or just 2?

I'm using these LED's for all 4 corners. Red for the rears, ambers for the front turn signals.....

3157-80 80 Watt Cree 3157 Replacement Bulb

And these resistors...
CUTEQUEEN TRADING 4pcs 50W 6Ohm LED Load Resistors for LED Turn Signal Lights or LED License Plate Lights or DRL (Fix Hyper Flash, Warning Cancellor) (pack of 4):Amazon:Automotive

The rears & the right front turn signal all work perfectly. No issues with them at all. The only problem has been the front left signal.

I use the same leds in my tails also.. Love them. I bet those amber LEDs are bright as hell in the front corners.

I'm sorry but I dont what else could be going wrong unless there's something wrong with the actual truck wiring.

Do you have any other LEDs you could try?

Not the best pic as i combined it with others but you get an idea for the turn signals

I might suggest swapping the front 2 turn signals and see if the problem is dependent on the LED bulb itself, or the side of the vehicle. If you swap the front two bulbs, and the problem shifts to the opposite side, then its probably a bulb issue.

I did this today. No error when i swapped them but it did the same when i installed the new resistor. Worked fine on the drive from work to home. So now it'll just be a waiting game to see if it throws a code or not.
