Just got my plus canbus kit for my fogs after returning the cheaper kit. It works! I used same kit as my lows ddm plus canbus 35w-9006 4500k

Sorry i didn't take pics when I did it and my truck is at the dealer putting a factory trailer brake on it because myn didn't come with it. so i will try to get some when it comes back later today. I mounted my ballasts on a angular plastic piece that connects to the fog light housing. I just took some self taping screws and bolted the ballast to that angular piece. All that plastic piece was was a brace so it did not hert it to drill into it.

FWIW, on my 2014 for the fogs, I used a CANBUS kit with zero issues. Initially I installed a regular hid kit for fogs. All it did was flicker. So CANBUS ballasts FTW!!

just curious if you know......were the bulbs that you took out of the stock projectors the same bulbs that are used in the fogs? I'm curious if the the stock halogens in the projector are better than the stock bulbs in the fogs.


I am going to get the ddm canbus hid's for my 2015 as well, but id be happy with an upgraded bulb in the fogs.....

The lows use a 9012. It will fit in a 9006 but it needs to be trimmed. I think I remember reading that a 9012 halogen was brighter than a 9006 bulb but I'm not 100% sure.

DDM packages their bulbs with two white o rings on the bulb end. Make sure to remove these before installing the bulb. I missed them and had to fish them out of the headlight assembly. Rookie mistake on my part, but if you're not looking for them they are easy to miss.

Parking light bulb!

I couldn't figure out how to start a new thread but I have a question! I have a 03 Ram 1500 . I had a passenger side parking light and license plate light out. I replaced the front bulb but it still wouldn't burn. I replaced the #32 fuse and pow, the plate light works on that side but the front parking light is still out. The turn signal works but not the parking light. It's a head scratcher !

Has anybody used the canbus kit on a 2016? I have the regular kit from my old car in the fogs now and they work just fine
