Just got my cat back system today. Any tips for the install or should I say uninstall of the factory system. Is cutting involved to remove the old system? I would like to keep the factory system intact should I decide to sell it or re install it should I decide to sell the truck down the road. Is the stock system clamped or all welded?

x2 on the rubber mallet and buddy. I had to soak the clamps on the muffler going towards the bumper with WD40 to loosen it up a bit. Good luck!

It didn't take much luck. I sprayed clamps with pb blaster 10 min before I started. Did it by myself in less than a hour. Mine was on for a year. I took tailpipes off first just twisted them and they came right out. I took muffler off the hangers and left the metal strap attached so it would lean down in the back. I just twisted the muffler and pulled it right out.

Quick install. Took my time and did it in about an hour and a half. has the sound I was looking for. Not redneck or hillbilly, just the right amount of loud when you get on it and fairly quiet when cruising at highway speeds.
