Got a quote for installing magnaflow 18" 3" in/ dual 2.25 out. Assuming some welding over the clamps and inserting a couple extinction pips for $320 which the muffler is included. What do you guys think?

That is high. The muffler is only $115, so that means they are charging you $205 just to weld it up.

I paid $180.
I would say anywhere From $200-240 is reasonable. That is really high IMO
Show them you know what you are talking about and that you won't be dicked over. They don't weld anything. Or at least they don't here. It is all brazed on. They heat a filler metal (rod) until it melts and it spreads over the joint.
There is nothing to it...

I think I paid 450 for everything including mandrel bent pipes and a muffler welded on my F150 4x4. That was duals out the side.

I paid around $100 for my muffler and $87 for the install. Sounds pretty high.

I think I paid around 300 for everything including mandrel bent pipes and a muffler welded and had them take the resonators off. Mine is a true dual set up as well.

Are you just replacing the muffler? Or going from single to double exhaust also?

Replacing the muffles cause I thought I had a factory Y pipe to make further adjustments but its a 3" inlet / dual 2.25 out. So only thing I can think of them adding is extension pipe? Cause its going from a stock 26" maybe 30" over all to a over all 20", which is a 8-10" difference. I'm assuming cause I'm learning as we go at the moment lol.

I usually pay $50 to install. You could get the mufflex kit for less than what that shop wants.

Sup all! Ordered my magnaflow 18" #12278 yesterday and received it today. Going to a place near by that is going to install for $100, total cost is $210.20. I'm very happy with that compared to that damm other quote. Tomorrow morning ill be the 1st there ready for the installation with the coffee. Just an FYI.....Moe's is the place to go too man. Very helpful, very friendly, very VERY fast on delivering. When i called i didn't feel like they were annoyed with my questions and their answers weren't like "no, yes, no, yes". He actually broke it down to advice, A+ customer service, friendly conversation. I'm going to attempt a before and after video sometime this week on the difference in sound.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to see what you think after the install. I'm glad you were able to find another shop with a more reasonable labor rate.

That new muffler sounds great. It has that muscle car rumble without being overpowering. I like it.

I love my Magnaflow 18". I had the Flowmaster 40 Series installed first and had to have it replaced within the first 24 hrs of having it... The drone was ridiculous in the cab i couldn't take it. Driving on the highway was brutal! The 18 has a little drone from time to time but it is definitely more tolerable compared to the Flowmaster! Hope you like it!

I paid $175 for the flowmaster and installation & then another $50 to have them swapped out. $225 total.... and TOTALLY worth it!
