Ok, so what I have is the factory subwoofer (I ordered eBay) for my ‘14 Dodge Ram 1500 (non alpine system) no amp, and I’m wanting to install an aftermarket amp (already have). I bought the adapter that you plug in behind the radio and allows for an amp to be plugged & it also comes along with a blue remote wire. Here is my question
… the stock sub plugs into the stock wiring by means of the plastic clip (I had to dig under the rear passenger side, underneath the seat), but I get no sound. So I guess my 2nd question is, once I hook up the adapter behind the radio, run RCA jacks from this adapter to the amp & hook up my remote wire from the amp, will the signal then provide power to the sub?
Please if anyone has tackled this issue or knows what I’m talking about feel free to let me know. I love playing the blues (muddy water, BB king) and I don’t need much just enough.
