So I stupidly bought a 2003 dodge ram 2500 Laramie 5.7L V8 pickup from a used car dealer. Throttle light and engine lights came on. Took it in to local dodge dealer to have it looked at. Throttle is due to leak in intake manifold. They want 2700 to fix it, haven't diagnosed exact cause of engine light yet - it is an e-vap code. Tried to see if I could find a manifold online - don't want to spend 1000 for an edelbrock and can't figure out what would fit without needing modification. Anyone know where I can get reasonably priced manifold that will fit?

I'm leery of the Dormans, they seems to function well enough but I saw one where they didn't copy the oil fill and vent tube correctly on the LX version and every time the guy put oil in he ended up filling his air filter box. They're not quite exactly the same.

It would seem they did the same thing with the Ram manifold.

Man your evap code could be the gas cap. And what are they saying specifically about the manifold? Could it just be the manifold gasket?

E-vap code could also be the gas tank filler neck.
The 03's apparently have an inherent issue with the filler neck cracking causing a CEL/E-vap code too.
Ask me how I know?

You mean the ten individual intake port, oil fill and PCV o-rings lol?
