Inventing new mods and cleaning up an eyesore.

My buddy Chris put a bug in my ear that this might work. I wasn't sure but for 10 bucks off ebay it was worth a shot.

IMHO one of the biggest eyesores under the hood is the ECM. NO matter how nice everything else looks that ******* is ugly.

Chris told me to give this a shot...an ECM cover from a '97 Jeep Wrangler.



I trimmed everything off the bottom to make it clear our 4 plug ECM's then started sanding, priming and painting.

It's not an exact fit. The bolt holes don't line up but the clips do. I added some double sided tape behind it just to be safe and I'm gonna glue some plugs into the holes to hide the misalignment there. Other than that it's a great fit and really cleans up the firewall.

Not bad for 10 bucks shipped and some paint I already had.

Great mod. What is it and what site did you find it on? I had to send my PCM to Diablo Sport so they could reflash it back to stock. I should have it back tomorrow and I agree with you it stands out like a sore thumb. Way to keep raising the bar on us. That is one sweat truck you have there. Post some more photos of the engine bay if you can.

It's an OEM PCM cover from a 1997 Jeep Wrangler...I found it used on ebay for 10 bucks.

A diamond plate cover would look good on your truck. Make one based on the shape of the 97 wrangler but with the holes it Bolt onto your truck

Hey I'm new to the forum, I wanted to ask if you could maybe post a couple full pictures of your engine, the ECM cover looks great btw,

I'm looking into picking up a 2012 Sport Crew Cab in November & wanted to clean up the engine. I'm not big on the covers, I don't really understand them or the whole trend to paint them. I got a little glimpse your polished manifold & wanted to see more. Thanks bud

It's a tuner kit from Procharger....and there's nothing at all 50 state legal about my truck. LOL
Total cost on everything under the hood, much of which was hand built, all the way to the exhaust tips was probably about $15,000. I never really added it all up.
