iPhone Troubles

I have a 2018 RAM 1500 and I am having problems pairing my iPhone Xs completely. Meaning I can't get the contacts. I can say dial and say a number but, I cannot say call Joe Smith because it says no contacts available. I had an 6s previous and had no issue pairing it. First I tried clearing the phone out the trucks memory but, then i could not pair anything it could not even find the phone to pair. Then I rest the phone and now I am back to the phone working except again no contacts. Hopefully someone can lend a hand.

I have the exact same issue with my 2018 ram 1500 sport. It only does it with bluetooth and works fine with apple carplay. I cant figure it out either so i hope someone knows something

i had the same problem with my Samsung S9 but the next day all my contact showed up ... guess it takes that long to sync for some reason .. so maybe there is hope, just check back later AND my wifes S8 took even longer, i believe it was 2 days .. my dealer thought the S8 was not compatible with the RAM ... not so just took way longer

I can never get it to work, so I just use Siri instead of using the truck first. Works way better. My phone will connect to the truck, but I never even check to see if the phonebook uploads or not, I just use Siri.

Plus 1 on Siri for voice contacts. Also blows me away when a text arrives to say Hey Siri read me my last text. She does it and asks me if I want to voice a response (all with my hands on the wheel).

Once you have confirmed that your phone is compatible, you can check if your Uconnect system is need of an update by entering your VIN at the following link:

All my iPhones had the same issue in my '17 Challenger so I just use Carplay since its a better interface anyway imo. If you take a long drive with the BT connected they will usually show up after a while and sometimes it helps to reboot the radio by holding the upper right hand corner down until you see it restart. Also long holding the voice button to get siri instead of uConnect for voice input is a better experience if you do want to only use BT.

I kept getting a message saying to sign in to my email account but, it wouldn't let me so, I called Verizon and they did something on there end and then I was able to sign in. After i did that the contacts loaded up and I am good to go. I didn't realize I had the car play. My last truck did not have it but this one does i will have to experiment and see which I like better. Thanks again
