Today I was checking Fuses to troubleshoot a Cig lighter Problem and light out on the Heater/AC/Fan Display. Disconnected Battery Cable. Checked all Fuses and found no bad fuses, so I wanted to replace the Cig Lighter with one I already have. Reconnected Battery Cable. Did not insert the new lighter before I cranked the engine. When I cranked the engine, it ran erratically for a few seconds and cut off. Pulled out my Hayne's Repair Manual to troubleshoot. Pulled the Fuel Pump Relay, removed Gas Cap and turned engine over to depressurize and it ran fine for a few seconds and it cut off on its own. swapped out the Relay with the Fog Lamp Relay and swopped fuse with another one for good measures. Cranked the engine and still the same problem. If I give it gas while I crank it will start but run erratic unless I give enough throttle to achieve 2,000 rpm's it runs, but anything below about 1500 rpm's it will stall. Added about 2 gallons of gas in case the fuel gauge was the problem. Pulled the Air Filter out completely in case of Air Flow problem also.
