I was looking at the trinity t1000 and was wondering if it was worth the price and what all it actually does like performance, fuel economy etc

It is definitely worth it. I would reach out to Hemifever though and let him write a custom tune for you. When you purchase the tuner through him, he will include the custom tune for free which is a $125 value. There are hundreds of members on this site running his custom tunes, and you will find that everyone has been very happy with his work. His tuning will make great (reliable) power.

All of he above as well as overall better drivability. Most guys typically see 20-25hp/20-25tq and slightly better fuel mileage depending on how heavy your right foot is after the tune. The more mods you have, the more you will benefit from the tune.

Yes it is. If you do a search for "hemifever" on the search function above, you will find hundreds of guys that felt night and day gains with their Hemifever tune over the canned Diablo tuning.

Absolutely.... there is a guy here in town who does custom tunes for a lot of different vehicles and he charges a lot more than $120.

The tuner for your truck that will offer the best 'canned tunes' would be the Bully Dog.
As others mentioned above, the T1000 allows for custom tunes provided by Hemifever and/or WhiteLightning

Both have excellent feedback and are known on the Hemi and Ram space

Just know what you want to do now and in the near future and go that route

There will be a difference from T1000 canned tune to custom tune (provided by either mentioned)
However this is for you decide if the t1000 additional cost is worth it over the bullydog.
If you'll never do custom tuning, then BD is your answer.
Less costly and better canned tunes

Just got off the phone with my tech guy from BD and he did say that there is a software included in the packaging and it is compatible with MAC and you are able to update it via the MAC

This is like asking someone if they like apples or oranges....
They do similar things but do offer something that differentiates themselves.. Hemifever is more 'mainstream' right now on the forums, but whitelightning has been around and he is working with us to get more mainstream as well.

There are positive and negative feedback to both.

So again, do you prefer apples or oranges?

Hemifever is a sponsor here and his tuning has proven to be more reliable. I want to say TylerB is the only guy I know running a white lightning tune in the top 5 or 10 fastest 4th gens. Everyone else is using Hemifever.

I also know 2 guys that got rid of their trucks after having transmissions fail with White Lightning's tuning, so I would be careful if you go that route. 1 of them was the fastest 4th gen crew cab back when he had Hemifever tuning his truck.

Matt is correct too. But they are claims of fried trannys rather than hard proof.
But we also know of a few with fried trannys that claimed to come from hemifever too.

Hemifever has tuned the fastest ram and whitelightning has the wind fastest. But the guy got rid of his truck before it could be to ed to take title.

Like I said. Hemifever is more mainstream. So there should be more positive feedback. But I can rest assure whitelightning's to e's are just as reliable.
