Is my tire logic correct?

I'm going to lift my truck with rancho quick lifts and rear spacers. I want to run 315/70 17 tires on my stock 17x8 wheels. Currently I have 285s and they have rubbed a few times. I know the 315s will rub even with a lift, since stock wheels have a +25mm offset.

Now my question is: Am I right in thinking that a 1/4" spacer still won't keep the tires from rubbing since it's only subtracting 6.35mm of offset, and I will be adding 15mm to the inside with the tires?

Yup . . . You gonna rub . . . Time for some nice aftermarket 17" x 9" wheels with 0 offset or -12 . . . Just save your current wheels and tires for Winter months

Yeah I figured. I wanted to hold off on buying wheels. Oh well. I'm gonna buy 5 wheels and tires so I can have a full size spare. A 315/70 17 on a 17x9 should fit under the bed like the original shouldn't it?
