Like title says.

I have an intermittent needle lag between 15-45mph.

Thanks

Pretty sure it’s electronic.
I had similar symptoms on a 99 that I used to have. Turned out to be contamination (metal particles) on the rear axle speed sensor.
However, I’m not sure where the sensor is on the 4th gens.

The complete gauge cluster is electric. You could have a bad speedo stepper motor in the cluster, this is what makes the needle move up and down. This happens often on older trucks.

Sweet sounds easy thanks for the input.

^^^X2^^^ I it is electronic because they have to use a computer to adjust it. Mechanical would involve going under and changing the drive gear in the tranny
