Is this a fair price for a Hemi with 305,000km?

saw this 2005 ram 1500 with the 5.7 on marketplace today with 305,000km on it. It needs a rocker panel on one side and an ecm which I can get for like 400$ I think. He wants 5,000CAD for it but I don’t how if that seems fair. I’ll place a link to his ad that has pictures and parts list Ad here

idk what the canadian market is like but to me its much for a truck with that kind of mileage and if it has alot of rot Why does he say it needs a ECM? that is not a common failure at all and is usually another issue. you can do better look around

Saying it needs an ECM is just a smokescreen to take buyer’s attention away from it doesn’t run. Sounds like an easy fix but for all you know it needs a complete engine.

Any sensible seller would replace the ECM and sell it running properly. If that was all it really needed.

Just a smoke screen to other serious problems!!!RUN RUN RUN!!! its been bathing in salt the Toad couldn't even wash it and that rear driver's door has the beginning of some serious rot at the seams on bottom. bad bad canook!!!

My parents sold my original 2003 2500 for about $6500 US last year. 2wd, 125k miles, other than under hood no rust, SLT, extended cab with 8'bed. Think you can do much better and I would never buy something needing the brains of the operation, could be hiding other issues that you won't find until you replace it.

I bought my current 2005 Dodge ram 1500 4x4 SLT quad cab for $800 Canadian. Cab corners/Rockers were rusted right off. Wheel wells were rotted too. Bought it and put all new suspension/exhaust/body panels/ engine gaskets/plugs/coils/wires. No issues with engine/trans/gears at all. 545rfe matched with 3:92 gears. Just going to fab up some body mount side steps for it and call it good.
