(I dont really know who else to ask, so im reachng out to you guys. I am sorry if its in the wrong subcategory, please delete it if it is.)

Hey!

I am currently searching for a car, its going to be my first. I saw this (https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2616601935226025/)
RAM 1500. It says it has some defects, does it sound like it is fixable to you guys? I am somewhat able to work on cars, so some stuff could be done by me.
The clicking, is it normal? After some research i found a few people who had that, but i couldnt really find a ton about it.
Is this car worth the $1500?

Thanks,
Jan

Woohoo look at that cancer lol....that alone would make me go the other way. Only way to verify a collapsed lifter on a cylinder is to pull the valve cover and if there were one there's a good chance it would've bounced the pushrod out. Sounds like there's more going on there. If you don't mind cancer and best case possibly repairing an engine or worst case possibly rebuilding or replacing an engine, go for it lol.

Junk-run- run very fast. Unless rebuilding engines is going to be your next hobby, run away now!

You'd be better off leaving that one. I feel like you'd be rebuilding the engine soon, along with who knows how many more issues may arise.

There's quite a few dealerships in the Farmington-Aztec-Bloomfield area to hit up. I've got family out there and you might even know em lol. Its pretty country out there though

No way, run, unless U like Engine and Body work....sometimes the $$$$$ U pay needs to be dis-regarded when U look at condition, and 175K on a motor is a lot of miles, if not taken care of...

FISH: He needs to run from that one, LOL, all IMHO.....
